Welcome to Alaska! This is a blog about my travels as a teacher in rural Southwestern Alaska. Follow along as I update you on what it is like to leave the lower 48 and head to a village with the population of 1,000 where I will teach for the next nine months. It is cold and it is dark, but it is even more beautiful than I could have imagined.
